In recent times Aussies have had to endure an unprecedented number of natural and human-caused disasters. Each one taking a significant toll on our emotional, psychological and social well-being. The bushfires of Summer 2019/20 will forever be etched into our collective psyche and since then floods, drought, storms and of course, a global pandemic has struck. It seems no one is immune to stressful events striking when we least expect it.
This is a place to share your stories of distressing events and to talk about the emotional and psychological effects on your life. We also invite you to share any coping strategies you’ve found helpful and perhaps to give us hope with stories of resilience and growth through adversity.
