    Hey everyone/anyone.

I lost my mother this year and it’s been a few months now and I still find myself in a rotten place. I’m sick all the time, hungover, just miserable and useless. Sleeping all the time. I don’t know what to do to change and turn everything around. I’m hurting so bad it makes me feel like I am going crazy.

I really hope I can find a support group or something soon. I need to talk to people that have felt what I feel.

    Dear Karl6,

I’m sorry that you’ve lost you mother and are having a very tough time. It sounds like you are struggling with a number
of things since your mother passed away. I’m thinking that you we’re very close to her?

What you have described is very normal and common for people who are grieving. Finding yourself often falling sick,
feeling miserable, useless, and sleeping all the time are very common experiences when people are really in the throws
of a loss of this magnitude. It is also very common that people feel like they are going crazy, due to the changes in
how their feeling everyday, and feeling like you’re just not yourself at the moment.

However, given this is such a substantial loss, you are actually doing well to hang in there and manage to get through
each day. It may not feel like it, but you are drawing upon your own strengths to cope as best you can, and remaining hopeful
    of a brighter future.

I hope that you have someone who you can talk to at the moment. You are very welcome to call the Helpline at Griefline on 1300 845 745
