About Dr Jackie Campbell
Dr. Jackie is a leading voice in veterinary palliative care in Australia. As the Director of Sunset Vets, the largest network of home-visiting veterinarians specializing in palliative and end-of-life support, Jackie dedicates her time to helping families navigate medical decisions for their pets during these challenging times.
A University of Queensland graduate, Jackie has been a passionate advocate for palliative medicine within the veterinary field. In 2016, she became Australia’s first veterinarian certified in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPV) and founded the Australian Veterinary Palliative Care Advisory Council to support best end-of-life practices, education, and advocacy.
Jackie also holds a diploma in Canine Myofunctional Therapy and has a keen interest in managing chronic pain. She leads the nationally recognized Sunset Grief Counselling program, which provides free professional grief support to families and is accessible to veterinarians across Australia for their clients.
