Hi everyone, just wanted to share my words of support from afar. I can’t imagine the feelings of worry and distress that you all must be feeling for your loved ones, pets/animals and possessions and wanted to let you all know that I’m thinking of you. Hopefully you can feel our arms of love supporting you from all the way down here in Victoria. Please do reach out to any of the resources mentioned above if you are struggling. Grief can surface at the most unexpected moments, and when we are witnessing loss at an enormous scale, we can easily feel helpless and overwhelmed.
But there is unity in sharing our experiences. Sharing your story can not only help you find new meaning, it can open up spaces for support and help others in their recovery too.
You are welcome to share your stories of surviving a natural disaster or your words of support here. And for those feeling the effects of the floods or triggers please reach out here for words of support from the community.
