    Hi everybody,
I just wanted to tell people a little gem I discovered last year. An artist called Kate Allen does the most fabulous cartoon drawings with positive affirmations that are so relatable for everybody. I am not sure if I can add a link, so I just type “Kate Allen Affirmations” and then select images and up they come.

I have found alot of comfort from them and they are just so beautiful.
I hope you check it out.

    Hi @abc01

I went and had a look at her art! It’s quite endearing, isn’t it? I’m so glad it makes you feel better when you see them. I just saw one that really spoke to me. A water creature of some kind, on its back, with the caption ‘you absolutely CAN handle today – you are built for this!’ It made me smile. There was another one with an octopus and the caption ‘it’s not wrong to be sensitive; the world needs more of your softness.’ That one really hit today.

I have been reading your other posts. And I just want you to know that we’re here for you when you feel alone and that you’re doing better than you think you are.

Thank you and I am glad you checked her art out. They are available as stickers, books, affirmations cards and so on and I find them just darling . One of my favourites is a deer with the phrase “Small shaky steps still count.” Something I often overlook when I am trying to set a goal or just get through a rough day.

Hope you are well and thank you for your kind words.

    Hi again, @abc01

Sometimes, when I’m feeling particularly bleak, I find that these little positive affirmations really do help. Being able to look at something cute and endearing can be a real pick-me-up in those times. Especially when all I have is my own self-recriminations. It reminds me to go easier on myself. After all, I do not treat other people as harshly as I treat myself so perhaps, I should treat myself as I treat them?

She’s right. Small shaky steps still count. They always count. You’re not standing still. You’re not going backwards. You’re moving forwards, slowly, and that’s what’s important.

    Hi @abc01

Thank you for the share. I had a look at Kate Allen’s work. They are a talented cookie! Affirmation cards, especially artistic ones like Kate’s, are so valuable and healing.

They are delightful! Thank you for sharing.
