My mum was diagnosed with a rare aggressive cancer in July 2024. We went through seven months of treatment, ambulances to hospital, and the hope she would be ok. She died seven months later after we brought her home for palliative care for her final days. She was my father’s main carer. Now my sister and I care for Dad while grieving our mum. We know it’s only going to get harder. I miss her so much.

Thankyou For sharing your story with us. I am Sorry for the loss of your mom.
After reading your post, it sounds like both you and your sister have been through so much. And now both you and your sister are showing care towards each other and also taking care of your dad, after your mom. This must be very difficult for you as well as for your sister.
I am also wondering how you, your sister and your dad are coping with everything. Have there been any tiny moments in which you and your sister find to take care of your dad as well as for yourselves?
Thankyou For reaching Griefline. Please be kind to yourself and you are not alone in this. We are always available for you whenever you need to talk.
