Around 150 people turned out on a blustery evening at the South Oakleigh Club to take part in GriefLine’s annual trivia night. All proceeds from the night are going towards children experiencing trauma from domestic violence or those who have lost a parent to cancer.
From start to end, the emphasis was on friendly competition, fun and the chance to catch up with old and new friends. Mike Carroll, trivia question master, together with DJ Charlie Zee kept the questions and music coming. Area Specialist Auctioneers conducted a lively auction amidst a sea of blue and orange balloons donated by Lombards.
A big thank you goes to all the sponsors and the many helpers who made the event possible, especially Annaleise Adams, the main organiser. Other helpers on the night included: Daniel Cini, Sarah McAllister, Susan Mathew and Lorraine Lloyd.
Raffle prizes were donated by Gail and Kevin Donovan from Donovans, Stuart Macdonald from SMAC Imports, Lachlan Macdonald from Simply Wines.
Auction items and tables were donated by Vicki Scott Murphy, Helene Strawbridge, Jo Bryant, Fran Williamson, and Jenny Fernando.
